First Timers

Get started the right way.

A lifetime of enjoyment starts with lesson one. Our first-timers package eases adults (ages 13+) or children (ages 4-12) with no experience skiing or snowboarding into to their new sport with a full-day lesson. Lose the apprehension, develop the skills that get you to the beginner level and make the experience more enjoyable.

Adult First-Timer Lessons (ages 13 & up)

First-Timers Ski Package $99

• First-Timers ONLY (Level Red)
• Includes a 4 hour group lesson, rental equipment and a Little Hawk Mountain lift ticket.
• Lesson meets at 9:45am and starts promptly at 10:00am. Break at noon for lunch (not included in package). Lesson continues again at 1:00pm (meet at 12:45pm) and ends at 3:00pm.

First-Timers Snowboard Package $99

• First-Timers ONLY (Level Red)
• Includes a 4 hour group lesson, rental equipment and a Little Hawk Mountain lift ticket.
• Lesson meets at 9:45am and starts promptly at 10:00am. Break at noon for lunch (not included in package). Lesson continues again at 1:00pm (meet at 12:45pm) and ends at 3:00pm.

Please note: All adult lessons may be reduced by $10 for Eldora Season Pass holders and by $10 for having your own equipment. (Maximum $20 off). Adult Lessons meet at the lesson signs located behind the Indian Peaks Lodge.

Advance reservations are not available for adult group lessons.

Day of registration only.

Registration begins at 8:30am on weekdays and at 8:00am on weekends and holidays, downstairs in the Indian Peaks Lodge at the ticket counter. First come, first serve basis...Classes may fill up.

Children's First-Timer Lessons (ages 4-12)

Mountain Explorer Ski $99

• Ages 4-12
• All Ability Levels
• A full day that includes a 4 hour group lesson, rental equipment, lift ticket, supervised lunch and snacks.
• Lesson starts at 9:45am and ends at 3:15pm.

Mountain Explorer Snowboard $99

• Ages 7-12
• All Ability Levels
• A full day that includes a 4 hour group lesson, rental equipment, lift ticket, supervised lunch and snacks.
• Lesson starts at 9:45am and ends at 3:15pm.

Half Day Mountain Explorer Ski $89

• Ages 4-12
• First-Timers ONLY
• A half day that includes a 2 hour group lesson, rental equipment, and a Little Hawk Mountain lift ticket.
• Lesson starts at 12:45pm and ends at 3:15pm.

Half Day Mountain Explorer Snowboard $89

• Ages 7-12
• First-Timers ONLY
• A half day that includes a 2 hour group lesson, rental equipment, and a Little Hawk Mountain lift ticket.
• Lesson starts at 12:45pm and ends at 3:15pm.

Please Note: Children's lessons may be reduced by $5 for Eldora Season Pass holders and by $5 for having your own equipment. (Maximum $10 off. This discount is not available with the purchase of the 6-Pack Mountain Explorer offer, the No Limits Season Pass or the 5th or 6th Grade Passport).

Children's Lessons meet in the Children's Center — upstairs in the Indian Peaks Lodge.

Space is limited in Mountain Explorers.

Reservations are recommended and essential for weekend and holiday periods.
